- POP3 Port: 995

Our proactive hardware monitoring has alerted us that the Power Supply for our Pelican server is showing signs of failure and needs to be replaced.
We are scheduling maintenance during the window below to have the failing hardware replaced to avoid potential prolonged downtime in the future.
Total downtime is expected to be about 30 minutes during the following maintenance window: Start: Friday, March 25, 2016 4:00AM GMT End: Friday, March 25, 2016 7:00AM GMT - Date - 25/03/2016 04:00 - 05/04/2016 07:37

We will be performing maintenance on the Pelican server during the times listed below in order to replace malfunctioning hardware, the NIC (Network Interface Card). If the NIC is not replaced, the potential exists for data loss. We will also be performing a manual file system check (FSCK) to ensure there is no data corruption on the hard drives. We do not anticipate the scheduled outage taking more than a couple hours barring major problems being detected by the FSCK.
We will be doing this maintenance during the following window:
Start: Thursday, December 31, 2015 4:00AM GMT
End: Thursday, December 31, 2015 7:00AM GMT
As always, our staff will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding this process. If you have any questions, please let us know by opening a ticket:

This planned maintenance is required to provide patches and updates, addressing recent advisory notices for the Xen virtualization technology used in our Cloud Network. Xen is commonly used in cloud and virtual machine hosting, and a number of our competitors have or will be carrying out similar updates. In addition, we will take this opportunity to update/fix other minor issues and to provide additional service improvements.
Maintenance will begin at 12am Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and should be completed by 3am GMT on the 2nd of April.
During this time, your hosting accounts will be offline for a short time.
We apologise for the short notice, but hope you understand that these are important security updates. We will try to keep the downtime of your server to a minimum. Should you have any concerns, please contact our support team here.Kind Regards,
UK Secure Web Hosting Management Team
